Most of the time the ‘I’ is fixated on being identified with only its physical existence. The ‘I’ instead of moving beyond and focusing on the Divinity & light within it, remains engaged in just caring for the garment of our soul. By ‘garment of our soul’, we are referring to the physical body made out of putrefying dust.
Man seems to continue living his life in total ignorance. He has no clue who he is, nor what the purpose of his existence is. He is often found lingering around his likes and dislikes all through his life time.
Man, often camps longest around those people who he feels good with. He fails to realize that everything in this universe is impermanent and will crumble as dust and rubble in due time.
It is a well-known fact that a garment after being over used, gets completely torn and tattered, and ends up in the discard bin no matter how much we may have liked it or how expensive it was. This holds good for people too.
Instead of focusing on why the Divine Source created us when it is self-sufficient on its own, man often keeps himself busy with the pandora box called LIFE.
Life, is a box that has innumerable magic tricks. It keeps us entertained and we are all busy partaking in this illusory entertainment. Each one of us is playing with toys of dust. What else can we call physical resources other than toys of dust?
We are either busy molding models of dust and try to grip them or we are engaged in hoarding objects made of dust that have no use on the onward journey of the Soul.
Most often than not, man finds himself, drifting and running in a frenzy, busy doing! He remains confused and does not know if he is leaving or arriving.
The only permanent is the change and transformation of the soul. The goal is to remember our origin as souls. The purpose is to remember that we are all created to love & be in service of each other.
It is vital that we realize all of this before this body of dust becomes dust. Because, it only takes a gentle breeze to displace dust. We are here in one moment, there, in another moment, and in the next moment we are everywhere yet nowhere!
Let us gather up our focus to reach out to the shimmering light within ourselves and move beyond the layer of dust gathered over it. In other words, let us focus on our souls and reduce our obsession with the physical existence.
